Anthophila
Construction Documentation,
3D Architectural & Creative Design
Anthophila is a conceptual bio-tech building designed for El Segundo, Los Angeles County, a region poised to become a leading hub in the life sciences industry.
This project combined architectural drafting, construction documentation, 3D modeling, creative design, and detailed plans and sections to create a forward-thinking facility that addresses the evolving needs of bioengineering and food science.
Designed as a collaborative research hub, the project focuses on the genetic modification of foods through a symbiotic relationship with the apiary community. Greenhouses, labs, and gardens form the heart of the facility, where interdisciplinary stakeholders gather to develop highly nutritious, locally adapted foods. Meeting spaces and interactive environments further encourage innovation and engagement among scientists, policymakers, and community members.
This design not only reflects the immediate needs of food science but also sets the foundation for a global landmark: a facility that actively integrates with local flora and fauna while shaping the future of bioengineering and sustainable food production.
